Q: Do you take insurance?

A: Rather than contracting with third party payers (private insurance or any governmental programs like Medicare or Medicaid), I enter into a private services agreement directly with you, the patient / client. In my experience, this type of arrangement is a more effective use of our time and of your health-care dollars.

Q: What type of payment do you accept?

A: VTS Physical Therapy is a fee-for-service practice and an “out-of-network” provider. Payment is accepted on the day of your appointment. For your convenience, I can accept various payment options – cash, check, HSA, FSA or any major credit card.

Q: Can I submit a claim to my insurance company for reimbursement of your services?

A: This depends on the type of insurance you have, but generally, YES! I will be happy to provide you with the necessary codes and documentation so you can submit a claim for potential out-of-network reimbursement once your out-of-network deductible has been met. However, I cannot guarantee that your insurance company will reimburse you for the service. To help you determine what out-of-network benefits you may have through your insurance company, please download and use this helpful worksheet.

Q: What Should I Expect?

A: During the first visit you will receive a thorough evaluation intermingled with gentle hands on treatment so that you can receive symptom relief on day one. Together we will work out a follow-up treatment plan that will necessarily involve some “homework” on your part. Research has shown that pain and dysfunction change things in the body. By following a customized home program you will reinforce the good information your body systems receive during hands-on treatment and maintain the progress we make in the clinic. This can drastically reduce the healing and recovery period and result in fewer overall visits. Patients usually see me one time per week.

Q: What do I wear?

A: Comfortable loose clothing, which allows easy access to the area of concern, is best.

Q: What do I bring to my first visit?

A: Please download, fill out and bring the following form with you. That way we’ll be able to jump right into the evaluation on the day of your appointment. You may also bring any imaging results and reports if you have them.
